Hello World!

My name is Steve and I own All American Awards, Inc. in Mt. Pleasant, SC (just outside Charleston, SC).  I’ve been in the awards industry since 1984 and have served on numerous Boards of Directors including the Awards and Recognition Association (the largest international trade association in our industry).  I’m also a member of the Awards Associates of America, the premiere awards supplier buying group in the country.  I tell you these things only to let you know that I’ve spent over a quarter of a century in the industry and have learned some lessons in that time.  I’d like to share what I have learned with you.

The purpose of this blog is to provide information as to various considerations when making decisions on almost any product that you’d like apply your custom text or graphics.  I do a fair amount of business providing awards in the form of crystal, glass, resin sculptures, bronze memorial plaque castings and sculptures, and standard wooden, acrylic or glass plaques.  We also do quite a bit of business in name badges, signs, banners, promotional products and rubber stamps.  Each of these items serve a different purpose and each have a different set of issues concerning the graphics to be applied.

Along the way, I’ll try to provide as much information as I can to help you make the most of your awards and promotional products programs.  As I’m just a regular guy, I’m going to approach this blog in a somewhat familiar non-formal style.  If you have questions or feedback, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me and we’ll see where things go.
